Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to reveal that they think Danny Ings could still do a job for them in Jurgen Klopp’s attack.
The one-cap England international left the Merseysiders in the summer of 2018, joining Southampton on an initial season-long loan deal before the move was made permanent for £20m this year.
Ings struggled with injury problems during his time at Anfield and Klopp reluctantly agreed to let him depart for St Mary’s as the forward searched for more game time – the German paid a heartfelt tribute to the former Burnley man upon his exit.
The 27-year-old only ever scored four goals for Liverpool, but he has already notched nine in all competitions this season as he remains injury free and in excellent form, leading to some Reds supporters on Twitter stating their aforementioned point.
